Dalle macerie del terremoto nel centro Italia, alla riscoperta di un pittore che si veste di ‘beneficenza’. Il pittore Cola dell’Amatrice in una mostra itinerante per aiutare le popolazioni in difficoltà.
“L’arte può ribaltare la tristezza con l’euforia della bellezza”. Questa è la frase riassuntiva usata da Vittorio Sgarbi per lanciare il suo progetto in favore delle terre colpite dal sisma. Una mostra itinerante capace di riportare alla luce – nel senso letterale del termine – un artista nato e formatosi proprio tra Lazio e Marche: Nicola Filotesio, detto Cola dell’Amatrice.
La mostra dal titolo Cola dell’Amatrice – L’indimenticabile, partirà dal prossimo dicembre con la prima tappa ad Ascoli Piceno, nella Pinacoteca civica; seguirà L’Aquila con l’esposizione all’interno della Basilica di San Bernardino, a Mantova all’interno di Palazzo Te e a Milano nelle stanze del Museo Bagatti-Valsecchi. Tutto il ricavato andrà a favore della ricostruzione dei luoghi disastrati e per la salvaguardia dei beni artistici profondamente colpiti.
Artista eccentrico e creativo, tormentato e di raffinata abilità, Cola dell’Amatrice è stato ‘penalizzato’ dal tempo e dai nomi di altri grandi pittori. Si tratta di una mostra dal forte significato simbolico, un modo per tenere alta l’attenzione sul borgo di Amatrice e un modo per dare il giusto merito a un incredibile ‘maestro del colore’.
